Dear Professor Sloman:

	We have no other candidate, because the complement was full
when I decided to try to invite you also.  I would like to have you
for three to five months, but I don't know enough about the plans of
the other participants to know whether there will be enough group
activity after April to warrant it.  If I get a clearer picture, and
this probably won't be soon, I'll write you again.

	Even if this doesn't work out, I hope that I will be able to
find the money to invite you for a week or two at a mutually convenient
time.
